Yes—you absolutely can create these stunning pictures, and the best part? No experience is needed. This workshop is designed to feel relaxed, inspiring, and completely approachable, whether you've used watercolors before or are picking up a brush for the very first time.

You’ll start with a choice of our beautifully custom-designed canvas sheets (8x10"), thoughtfully created with built-in shading that guides you every step of the way. It’s almost like a coloring book—but elevated. Simply choose your favorite watercolor shades and bring the design to life in your own unique style. Soft and subtle or bold and vibrant—the choice is entirely yours.

As you paint, you’ll see your picture effortlessly transform into something that looks polished and professional, without the pressure of needing any special skills. It’s all about enjoying the process, getting creative, and making something you’re truly proud of.

If you would like a frame, they will be available for purchase in the studio.

Due to the customizations at ALL our workshops, there are NO REFUNDS FOR WORKSHOPS! However, if you cancel with at least 24 hours notice your project will be set aside for 30 days and you can join a future public workshop to complete your project. Same day cancellations or no-shows will NOT get a credit for a future workshop! Please email us (hammerandstainroxbury@gmail.com) to cancel. If you do not show up for a workshop that you have a spot reserved, you forfeit your payment.

How to Register

  1. Choose your project and design options from the drop down menu.
  2. If applicable include any relevant personal information needed to complete your stencil such as name or date.
  3. Confirm and Agree to our policies and terms.
  4. Add to Cart and checkout.

Cancellation Policy

Once your order has been submitted we are immediately beginning the process of production of your personalized stencil. If you would like to cancel your reservation, you must give a minimum of 48 hour notice.

Please note a restocking fee of 30% of the total amount of the workshop will be deducted from your refund. Same day cancellations or no-shows will not be eligible for a refund. Cancellations will be processed on the day we receive your cancellation request. It may take up to 2 weeks for the refund to return to the account you used to purchase your items.

Hammer & Stain reserves the right to make any amendments to this policy at any time. Notification of any changes will be published on this page. If you have any inquiries regarding cancellations or any of our other policies please contact us.

Guest Policy

Unless otherwise specified in the workshop description, unregistered
guests are not permitted to attend any workshop, whether it is a public
workshop or private party. Bringing an unregistered guest will result in the guest being asked to leave as this interferes with the attention and experience of our registered makers. Makers can inquire about purchasing a guest seat but the request will be subject to
approval.

Wood

This is a natural wood workshop, so your sign will have random cracks,
chips, knots and other natural blemishes that give it character! Some peeling may occur. We will do our very best to minimize disturbances to the words and make everything look intentional, but due to the nature of the workshop we can make no guarantees. Please keep in mind, no sign is absolutely perfect, as it is hand crafted, but it will certainly be wall worthy!
